Social Contributions

Haitian International values employees as its greatest asset. Guided by “people-oriented” principles, we foster a creative, collaborative workplace. Adhering to labor laws, we ensure comprehensive rights, benefits, and career development. We attach great importance to collaboration between labour and capital and advocate the freedom of association and the collective bargaining right of employees. The labour union signed a collective contract with the Chairman on behalf of whole employee to protect rights and interests of each employee. The collective agreement is valid for three years. The Group holds an employee representative conference annually to listen to employees’ opinions and suggestions.

Performance-Driven Rewards
  • Monthly bonuses for front-line employees are based on performance levels and shifts worked, with year-end bonuses varying between 20%-150% of the Group’s performance.
  • Non-front-line staff and managers receive bonuses tied to position-level salary and performance, with similar year-end bonus variations.
  • Senior management and the Board’s compensation considers individual and Group performance, profitability, workload, and responsibilities.
  • The Value Sharing Bonus Scheme allocates net profit growth as bonuses to teams and positions contributing most to performance improvements.

Development and Training

We highlight the cultivation and development of diversified talents and has established a scientific career development mechanism of employee skill training, job rotation development, competency assessment and fair promotion. We, based on job responsibilities of each post, have established a career development system providing a balanced and sustainable career development path and growth platform for our employees in different posts. In addition, we have established a training mechanism including numerous programmes to cultivate talents at different levels, such as the Spring Buds Programme, the Eyas Programme, the Eagle Programme, the Flying Programme, and the Pilot Programme. On an annual basis, we carry out all-round and systematic training on thought and leadership, etc. for these talents, and conduct team building at regular intervals to meet the demands for improving employee skills and promoting corporate development.

In 2024, Employee training rate reached 100%, with an average training duration of 15 hours per employee.

Haitian International ensures open communication with employees through the Employee Complaint Management System, addressing concerns promptly. We support work-life balance by improving welfare and providing housing. Over the past three years, more than 2000 employees (incl. who have left) benefited from talent apartments and public rental housing.
To make contributions to society, we set up Zhejiang Haitian Charity Foundation in 2013 and keep it operating ever since. The foundation makes donations and carries out public welfare projects every year to help vulnerable groups such as the poor, uneducated children,

Business Ethics

We enforce anti-fraud measures via comprehensive policies, clear reporting channels, and regular audits. Employees and suppliers are encouraged to report misconduct, ensuring transparency. Disciplinary actions are taken against violations to safeguard ethical practices and company integrity.
BUSINESS ETHICS AND ANTI-FRAUD TRAINING
  • The Group provides regular integrity education and training to employees and directors every year. We organize anti-corruption training via online courses. The training covered topics such as anti-corruption, anti-bribery and anti-unfair competition, and provided detailed analyses of corruption cases to help employees deepen their awareness of integrity. An E-Learning platform has also been set up to provide exercises and tests for employees and track their completion rate of the training.
  • In 2024, a total of 8,074 employees completed online training with a focus on business ethics and anti-corruption, covering 100% of full-time and part-time employees for the financial year. All members of the Board of Directors and senior management also participated in the training on anti-corruption.
  • Additionally, we provide business ethics and anti-corruption training to all suppliers and contractors. It is stated in the supply agreement that our suppliers and contractors must be informed of our business ethics and anti-corruption policies. They are prohibited from engaging in any form of commercial bribery in their business activities with us. They are also required to establish anti-corruption rules and regulations and take corresponding measures to regulate their employees’ business behaviors. All suppliers and contractors are required to sign the Supplier Integrity Letter to confirm their full understanding of our policies and the consequences for violation. We will immediately terminate the business relationship with any supplier that breaches such integrity clauses. In 2024, we provided business ethics and anti-corruption training to 100% of our suppliers and contractors.
Introduction of the Internal Control Department of Haitian International
  • The Internal Control Department, with over 10 auditors, monitors corporate governance and audits financial and economic activities with unrestricted access.
  • The Board supervises complex audits in finance, engineering, and technology.
  • Business segments are audited every three years, based on risk and past audit results.
  • Audit reports are reviewed with entities, with follow-ups on rectification plans for internal control deficiencies.
BUSINESS ETHICS AUDIT
  • The Internal Control Department of Haitian International is responsible for reviewing and improving the effectiveness and compliance of internal control functions. It conducts internal audits and invites third-party institutions to conduct external audits to prevent and timely detect any bribery and corruption risks. At the end of each year, it formulates the internal audit work plan for the following year. The scope of the audit includes: compliance and effectiveness of internal business ethics standards and anti-corruption policy, the adherence of all departments and units to relevant laws, regulations, and internal standards, and opportunities for improvement in internal controls and operational management.
  • The Internal Control Department conducts internal audits of all domestic operating bases annually and conducts one internal audit of operating bases in four different countries overseas each year, ensuring coverage of all overseas operating bases every two years. Based on the results of internal audit inspections, it reports relevant risks, violations, and countermeasures to the management, thereby continuously promoting the improvement of the anti-corruption and business ethics system and policies.
  • In 2024, Haitian International conducted 17 internal audits. While enhancing the internal audit system of the Internal Control Department, the Group also engages third-party organizations to conduct external audit activities to prevent and promptly identify any bribery and corruption risks.
  • Additionally, our Group also reviews the business ethics standards and policies every three years to ensure that the current policies always comply with the latest regulatory requirements.
