From April 20 to 26, Haitian will host a new Open Week format connecting Ningbo, Shanghai and Suzhou under the theme “Level Up! Your Advantage.” For the first time, the program brings together three key touchpoints in one coordinated event: Haitian’s headquarters and manufacturing base in Ningbo, the Haitian booth at Chinaplas 2026 in Shanghai, and the Haitian Medical Application Technology Center in Suzhou.

By combining manufacturing, exhibition and application expertise, Haitian offers customers a broader view of how equipment, digital technologies and cross-divisional synergies work together in practice. The three-city format is designed to show how Haitian creates value not only through machines, but through integrated solutions built around productivity, quality and application know-how.

 

Ningbo: Manufacturing strength and application capability

In Ningbo, visitors will experience Haitian’s manufacturing strength at the source. The Open Week will provide large-scale access to the new Haitian Machinery Smart Factory, the newly operational Haitian Machinery Global Application Experience Center and additional core manufacturing areas. With a total production footprint of around one million square meters, the the tour in Ningbo plants highlights Haitian’s strengths in large-scale production, intelligent manufacturing, application development and industrial collaboration.

A major highlight in Ningbo will be the official opening of the Haitian Machinery Global Application Experience Center. Created as a platform for the global market, it is designed to support technical exchange and application-focused solution development across industries, processes and production scenarios. During the event, Haitian will also present more than 60 application scenarios, covering advanced molding technologies, AI-enabled and intelligent technologies, and industrial talent development.

 

Shanghai: From Machines to Systems at Chinaplas 2026

In parallel, Haitian’s presentation at Chinaplas in Shanghai focuses on market-oriented solutions and industry-specific applications.  Across an exhibition space of 800 square meters, the group integrates its core divisions, including injection molding machines, drive systems and smart automation solutions. The focus is on industries such as home appliance, automotive and consumer goods, where tailored processing solutions are required. A key highlight will be the world premiere of the MA2500V/1000 Ultra, further expanding Haitian’s fifth-generation platform. Together with drive systems, automation and digital technologies, the exhibit will underline Haitian’s continued development from machine supplier to provider of integrated production solutions.

 

Suzhou: Dedicated expertise for medical manufacturing

In Suzhou, the focus will shift to one of the industry’s most demanding sectors: medical manufacturing. At the Haitian Medical Application Technology Center, visitors will see more than 10 customized precision clean molding technologies developed specifically for medical applications. The center demonstrates Haitian’s capabilities in medical application development, process validation and specialized molding solutions for customers with high requirements in cleanliness, stability, precision and consistency.

 

One connected view of Haitian’s capabilities

Together, the three locations create a connected picture of Haitian’s capabilities across the full value chain. Ningbo represents manufacturing depth and application infrastructure. Shanghai highlights innovation, market relevance and cross-divisional synergy. Suzhou shows how Haitian is building expertise in specialized industries through dedicated application development.

Throughout the week, Haitian will also host industry forums and networking activities to encourage dialogue on customer needs, technology trends and future manufacturing requirements. At the center of the trade show presentation is the official introduction of the MA2500V/1000 Ultra from Haitian Plastics Machinery. As a new Ultra version of the fifth machine generation, it expands the MA5 platform specifically toward higher precision, greater stability, improved energy efficiency, and intelligent process support. At the booth, the machine will produce cooling fans for the home appliance industry in a multi-cavity insert molding application with a cycle time of 35 seconds. This application stands for high process stability, consistent part quality, and sound process design even under demanding processing conditions. At the same time, it demonstrates the platform’s potential for more advanced Injection Molding+ applications.

 

 

For the automotive sector, Haitian Plastics Machinery will present an application on a JU5500V/3450 for the production of microcellular foamed motor hoods. The process used is physical foam injection molding with micro-opening for low read-through surfaces. This application demonstrates stability and long-term reliability in the processing of large structural parts while also highlighting the close integration of process technology, automation, and data connectivity.

 

For the drone industry, an electric production cell featuring a ZE1900VM-210hu-V80hs from Zhafir Plastics Machinery and an MDVR75 from Niigata Plastics Machinery will be on display. The solution enables the integrated assembly of rotor blades and blade clamps and stands for high output, high repeatability, and reduced-labor to unmanned operation. In this way, Haitian International’s expertise in precision injection molding, electric drive technology, and integrated automation—up to smart, unmanned manufacturing—becomes clearly visible.

From March 26 to 27, the Medical Devices—Polymer 2026 Annual Conference and International Medical Consumables Industry Development Forum, themed “Collaborative Innovation, Globally Connected Quality Chains,” was successfully held in Cixi, Zhejiang. Organized by the Medical Polymer Products Committee of the China Association for Medical Devices Industry, the event brought together experts and industry representatives from across the medical polymer sector to explore pathways for high-quality development.

On March 19, Haitian Plastics Machinery and XPeng Motors successfully held the turnkey injection molding project handover ceremony at the Zhaoqing base. This milestone marks the official launch of their key collaboration in intelligent manufacturing for core new energy vehicle components, taking a solid step forward toward the future of smart manufacturing.

At the ceremony, Xu Bin, Deputy Director of Global Industry Lines at Haitian Plastics Machinery, and Xu Haihui, General Manager of South China Marketing Company, attended alongside Ma Ji, Director of Process Technology at XPeng Motors, and Fan Haibo, Plant Manager of the Resin Factory at the Zhaoqing base. Leaders from both sides gathered for a group photo to mark the occasion.

The delivery includes three Haitian HA3300-22500 injection molding machines, specifically configured for automotive bumper production, precisely aligned with the manufacturing needs of XPeng’s Zhaoqing resin plant.

This batch of Haitian HA-series machines, tailored for the automotive sector, offers multiple core advantages. Delivered as a turnkey injection molding island, the solution is equipped with a Stäubli mold change cart and magnetic platens, enabling one-click automated quick mold change. A 9-station quick-change fixture platform further minimizes downtime and supports flexible production.

The machines are integrated with on-machine automation systems that complete a full range of post-processing steps, including part removal, gate trimming, flame treatment, weighing, and laser marking—achieving a high level of automation and significantly improving production efficiency.

In addition, Haitian’s engineering team designed a clean, high-quality secondary-side layout for water, electricity, and gas systems, while implementing centralized material feeding and centralized exhaust treatment across the plant—ensuring both efficiency and environmental performance.

As a core hub for XPeng’s production capacity and industrial chain, the Zhaoqing base is equipped with five major process workshops and a wide range of intelligent manufacturing systems. Among them, the resin workshop enables large-scale production of bumper components for smart electric vehicles. With the deployment of Haitian machines, the base’s capabilities in resin part manufacturing are further strengthened. Taking on the critical role of shaping the “first impression” of intelligent vehicles and safeguarding driving safety, the solution supports both higher production efficiency and improved product quality in bumper manufacturing.

The successful delivery of this project marks a strong example of deep industry collaboration and mutual empowerment between Haitian Plastics Machinery and XPeng Motors. Leveraging its expertise in developing and manufacturing injection molding solutions for the automotive sector, Haitian has provided XPeng with a customized, high-efficiency turnkey intelligent manufacturing ecosystem. Shantou Gooders Precision Technology Co., Ltd.(Golds), founded in 2017, is a high-tech enterprise focused on precision manufacturing within the building block supply chain. Operating a 210,000 m² production base, the company produces more than 10 billion building block pieces every year. It is now a top-tier supplier of universal building block components, working with major toy companies worldwide.

Located in Chenghai, Shantou—one of China’s most important toy manufacturing hubs—Golds has grown alongside the region’s powerful industrial ecosystem.

Inside the factory, hundreds of injection molding machines run in orderly rows. Every year, billions of tiny plastic pieces leave this production line, eventually becoming castles, spacecraft, and dinosaurs in children’s hands.

The story behind this massive and highly reliable production system traces back to 2017, when Golds was founded, and when it first partnered with Zhafir.

When Golds was established in 2017, its mission was clear: to become a production service partner for leading toy brands. That meant delivering more than just building blocks, but also guaranteeing consistent quality across every batch. Choosing the right equipment was therefore the company’s first critical decision.

“High precision and reliable performance are the foundation of high-quality products,” recalls Hong Jiawen, Production Director at Golds. Zhafir was selected for its strong reputation in technology, service, and cost-performance.

Nine years later, that initial decision has grown into a large-scale production network. Today, Golds operates 327 injection molding machines from Haitian and Zhafir, including 263 Zhafir machines. Working together with Haitian Smart Solutions Robotics systems, they form the backbone of Golds’ massive annual output.

In the world of building blocks, creativity starts with precision. Each block must meet strict dimensional requirements. Equally important is consistency across batches, which means blocks produced at different times must deliver exactly the same fit and feel. Therefore, every detail—dimensional tolerance, parting line, and shrinkage rate—must be controlled at the micron level, ensuring that any two blocks can snap together seamlessly. This level of precision must be maintained over hundreds of millions of production cycles.

Zhafir machines play a vital role in achieving this consistency. Servo-driven systems minimize transmission delay and fluctuation, allowing machines to reach stable operation quickly. Combined with precise injection control, stable clamping systems, and fast cycle performance, they ensure reliable, repeatable production, supporting Golds’ output of billions of components each year. 

The all-electric design also eliminates hydraulic oil, reducing contamination risks and helping maintain the high cleanliness standards required for toy manufacturing.

As smart manufacturing reshapes the industry, Golds has actively built an automated production ecosystem. A dedicated building block solution from Haitian Smart Solutions compresses in-mold actions to 0.82 seconds, enabling stable performance even in high-frequency production cycles. Robotic systems work seamlessly with Zhafir injection molding machines, forming a synchronized production loop: Precise molding → Precise part removal → Precise cycle timing.

With its open architecture and intelligent capabilities, Zhafir equipment integrates smoothly into Golds’ smart factory environment. Production data can be quickly translated into process optimization, allowing the company to respond flexibly to changing orders. The result is faster changeovers, more flexible manufacturing, and higher efficiency.

Founded in Hong Kong in 1988, Hongrita Holdings Ltd. (Hongrita) has grown into a global precision manufacturing group. With mold and precision plastic component facilities in Shenzhen, Zhongshan, and Malaysia, Hongrita now operates six factories and employs approximately 2,500 people worldwide. Hongrita’s core expertise spans multi-material, multi-cavity, and LSR precision molds, serving leading global brands across medical, consumer electronics, industrial, and automotive sectors.

Recently, we had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Felix Choi, CEO of Hongrita, to hear firsthand how this manufacturing leader approaches choice, evolution, and the future.

At Hongrita’s Zhongshan plant, more than 300 Zhafir all-electric injection molding machines operate reliably day and night. Hongrita sets uncompromising standards: micron-level precision must remain consistent over time and across tens of millions of cycles.

In 2016, when the first second-generation Zhafir all-electric injection molding machine was introduced, the challenge was clear—not just to produce qualified parts, but to keep deviations within micron-level limits over millions of cycles. Zhafir met that challenge. Since then, Hongrita’s production lines have evolved in step with Zhafir’s technology, advancing together to the latest fifth-generation platform.

Today, all Zhafir machines at Hongrita continue to operate stably under high-load conditions, with machine stability underpinning consistently high production yield. This philosophy of iteration rather than replacement has formed the “growth rings” of Hongrita’s production lines, and stands as the first foundation supporting its global customer base.

In recent years, the partnership has reached a new milestone with the joint exploration of CUBE mold technology. “We’ve already received our first customer order,” Mr. Choi noted. From second-generation machines to breakthroughs in cube molding, the relationship has evolved from equipment supply into a collaborative R&D partnership, responding to new market demands and bringing advanced mold concepts into mass production.

Connecting machines into a production line is only the beginning. Hongrita began its digital and intelligent transformation early, guided by a clear goal: replace experience-based judgment with data-driven certainty.

“We need more accurate data for analysis, which is why we fully adopted all-electric machines,” said Mr. Choi. In an environment of intense competition on cost and efficiency, optimization must be rooted in real production data. The comprehensive adoption of Zhafir all-electric machines became the cornerstone. With advantages in energy efficiency and precision control, combined with open data interfaces, Zhafir enables every machine’s operating status, process parameters, and energy consumption to become transparent and traceable. As a result, machines are no longer just producing parts, but also producing insight.

This data-driven approach has also turned green intelligent manufacturing from a concept into action. With real-time data, Hongrita has carried out systematic energy-saving upgrades across water, electricity, gas, and HVAC systems, achieving both economic and environmental gains. Today, Hongrita has earned authoritative Industry 4.0 Maturity Level 2i certification, with Zhafir playing a critical role behind the scenes.

Nearly a decade and 300 Zhafir machines—more than scale, they reflect a journey of choice, trust, and shared progress. From equipment collaboration to technology development and digital transformation, Zhafir has grown alongside Hongrita in modern manufacturing.

On December 29, 2025, Haitian Machinery officially opened its South China Headquarters in Shunde District, Foshan. The launch marks a new step in the company’s domestic dual-center layout, with Ningbo and South China serving as two core hubs, while also signaling a new phase in intelligent manufacturing and global industrial collaboration.

Senior officials from the Foshan Municipal Government and the Shunde District Government attended the event alongside more than 1,200 guests. Participants included customers, distributors, suppliers, media representatives, and management and employee representatives from both the Ningbo and South China operations of Haitian Group.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Haitian’s AI-powered virtual host and brought together government representatives, industry partners, and customers.

Zhang Bin, Haitian Group CEO, noted that the South China Headquarters is a significant part of the company’s domestic dual-center development. The new headquarters integrates R&D, operations, market services, and talent development, with a focus on advanced intelligent equipment and application-driven innovation.

Shen Li, General Manager of Haitian Machinery (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., introduced the site in more detail. The South China Headquarters covers over 500 mu, with a planned total investment of RMB 5 billion. After five years of planning and construction, five major production facilities are now in operation, with supporting infrastructure continuing to be completed. Going forward, the site will work closely with the Haitian South China Research Institute and the South China campus of Haitian University to support collaborative innovation and deliver more customized, one-stop intelligent equipment solutions .

 

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Haitian Group Chairman Zhang Jianming, CEO Zhang Bin, Haitian International CEO Zhang Jianfeng and senior executives from across the group jointly marked the official opening of the South China Headquarters.

The launch represents an important milestone for Haitian and establishes a new integrated hub in South China that brings together R&D, manufacturing, and service capabilities to support regional industrial development.

Following the ceremony, guests toured the administrative building, digital exhibition hall, and production workshops, gaining a close look at Haitian’s intelligent manufacturing capabilities.

The exhibition area featured injection molding machines, CNC machines, servo drives, die casting equipment, laser machinery, and intelligent manufacturing services. A total of 18 injection molding solutions were presented across application areas such as automotive, home appliances, medical, 3C electronics, packaging, logistics, and drones, covering advanced processes including in-mold coating, microcellular foaming, IMR, multi-cavity precision molding, and ultra-high-speed thin-wall injection molding.

In addition, high-precision CNC machining, die casting and magnesium alloy forming, laser cutting and additive manufacturing, intelligent factory solutions, core components, industry–education integration, and specialized equipment were displayed together, demonstrating a complete ecosystem spanning R&D, manufacturing, services, and talent development.

The opening of Haitian Machinery’s South China Headquarters strengthens the company’s local presence in the Greater Bay Area with a more localized presence, closer customer engagement, and stronger resource coordination. Lightweighting is a trend in many industries, including automotive, logistics, packaging and construction, as it leads to significant cost savings, lower energy consumption and lower carbon emissions.

With the increasing relevance of the eMobility sector, lightweighting places higher demands on molding technology for automotive parts. Haitian has been heavily involved in the automotive industry for many years and understands the limitations of traditional processes. Therefore, the company actively plans to the optimization of parts and the use of new materials by innovating injection molding processes.

Foaming technology:

A high-precision injection molding technology that is mainly used to reduce the weight of products. It significantly improves part deformation and dimensional stability (stress relief during injection) while reducing clamping force.

The technology includes physical foaming and chemical foaming. EIPP is a chemical foaming process in which the surface is foamed after injection and has a low contact temperature with the mold. In contrast, the center has a high temperature, resulting in foam release in the direction of mold cavity expansion, with dimensions controlled to +/- 0.03 mm accuracy based on precise foam expansion control.

Precision control technology and positioning accuracy:

The controller plans the movement curve based on the required process positioning and speed, and reads real-time position data from digital transducers on the tie bar (or mold) and pressure sensor data from the hydraulic system. It then quickly calculates the deviation between the actual and theoretical spatial position of the tie bar (or mold). The controller dynamically adjusts the hydraulic power system and the high-frequency response servo valve system based on the deviation to achieve stability of the mechanism’s spatial state and high-precision positioning of the platen (or mold).


Closed-loop control system

Advantages of EIPP:

  1. Quality improvement: higher dimensional stability and improved molding of the housing.
  2. Cost reduction: Shorter cycles, material savings, optimized part design, longer mold life and reduced machine tonnage.
  3. Time savings: faster mold validation, optimization of part and mold design.

Currently, this process is widely used in the production of automotive interior parts such as door panels. Lightweight design is a crucial step in the development with the eMobility sector. Technology Generation 3:
Much more than a machine upgrade

Productivity and flexibility are the pillars of success in manufacturing. Modern injection molding machines from Haitian and Zhafir serve both sides and keep them in perfect balance. Our machine technologies to the point increase production efficiency while conserving resources, increase application diversity and always pursue the same goal: the best possible utilisation of production capacities at a high level.

Just a few years ago, our research and development work was primarily focused on optimizing design, mechanics and control. The latter was largely in the hands of our system partners. With increasing digitalization and the nationwide expansion of stable Internet lines and infrastructures, the machines became more intelligent and communicative, opening up to the future requirements and scenarios of information technology at the “Industry 4.0” level.

While digital interfaces were initially still part of the optional machine equipment, today all internationally demanded interfaces in our company are part of the basic equipment, the technological standard. Both the electric Zhafir Series and the servo-hydraulic Haitian Series are fit for the future, ready for new challenges. “With the 3rd technology generation, the customer no longer buys pure hardware. Instead, the customer buys a system, a platform with intelligent and extremely fast adaptive software. This is one of our core developments,” says Mr. Fu, Chief Engineer of Haitian International in Ningbo, China.

Our in-house developed software solutions offer the processor a very high flexibility in the process optimization of all axes. Together with OPC-UA, they enable an extremely open integration or connectivity with all common Euromap interfaces, and the smooth connection of automation or any MES systems. Mr Fu: “We supply the customer with an intelligent machine system that is open to all possibilities, leaving him free to choose his integration partners.” In this way, the highly standardized Haitian and Zhafir machines can be integrated into automated processes, cells and production lines as required – maximum flexibility with the best possible productivity.
As digitalization becomes more intelligent and complex, the machine becomes more and more a functional body – powerful, flexible and as susceptible to failure as possible, explains Mr. Fu. He continues: “However, this in no way diminishes the importance of the machine. In general, although the technical optimization of the injection molding machine is already quite exhausted, we still see potential for groundbreaking improvements. Not so much in mechanics as in frugal innovation.” Reductions in material and energy consumption, minimized transport and delivery costs, less susceptibility to faults, simplified maintenance and shortened maintenance times would just be some of the monetary consequences of concentrating on the essentials. With this in mind, around 400 engineers and process experts are constantly working on the optimization and further development of our servo-hydraulic and electric injection molding machines. We see the further standardization of machine components and assemblies as an equally important task. This is the only way for us as machine builders to think in terms of large quantities, create cost-efficient production processes and pass on the cost advantage to our customers.

As a pioneer of high-quality standard machine construction, it was our aim from day one to deliver technology to the point. The worldwide response to our 1st machine generation has impressively confirmed this decision. The innovative servo-hydraulic drive technology of the Haitian Mars Series has been inspiring for more than 10 years with its outstanding economy and reliability.

Motion Plus

With Motion Plus on board, mechanics and software form a strong symbiosis. High-performance drives and intelligent algorithms optimize the movements of all axes – quickly, accurately and very efficiently.

The all-electric Zhafir Venus Series is a prime example of efficient injection molding technology in terms of precision, dynamics and environment– competitive advantages with sustainability.

This demanding approach continues to drive us today. Mr. Fu says: “Our engineers are constantly working on optimizing our hardware components. The focus here is on dynamics, precise movements and process accuracy, but also on standardization with maximum flexibility. Our goal is to maintain a healthy balance between hardware and software. In our opinion, intelligent motion control can only develop into a real customer advantage and offer the injection molding machine new possibilities with well thought-out and above all cost-efficient hardware.”

Mr. Fu sees the further development of the drives as a typical example of this. “The new generation of electric and servo hydraulic drives in connection with the new inverter generation promise more power with less energy consumption and provide for more precise movements of all axes.” The specially developed servo motors are tailor-made for the most diverse application tasks, such as injection with long holding pressure, dynamic injection with medium holding pressure or extremely fast injection without holding pressure. The drives have been developed for each of these tasks. “Efficient and smart manufacturing processes and large-volume production make customized components a cost-efficient standard,” says Mr. Fu, smiling. “Paradoxically, one could also call it tailor-made standardization. This opens up completely new perspectives for the entire company.“ Tailor-made drives, intelligent software and the unique manufacturing power in the Group allow us, for example, to think even larger in terms of electric drives and to further expand the still attractively priced range of future-oriented electric concepts – keywords being large clamping forces and above all large, affordable injection units.

Another example is our servo-hydraulic Haitian Series. Thanks to intelligent algorithms, the injection process has been optimized by replacing proportional valves with standard valves – closed-loop control, without sacrificing speed and pressure. Mr. Fu commented, “The sophisticated design of the injection unit in combination with a powerful servo drive system benefits from independent algorithm modules. Thanks to their fast, accurate calculations and highly efficient mathematical models, the stability of the injection process is now much higher, whether for extremely fast or slow injection. The improvement is significant.”

Big Dimensions

A very innovative example is provided by the new, big electric injection units. “Here you can see the perfect interaction of software and hardware,” says Mr. Fu. “The challenge was the exact synchronization of all four spindles and with high dynamic in acceleration. This is only possible with extremely powerful, reliable, but also flexible components that are controlled by an intelligent control center.”

Motion Plus is the bundling of already established and new developments around intelligent motion control. Although many of these components are already standard in the Zhafir Series, for the Haitian Series it was a big step towards the digital future, digital intelligence. “This may not sound spectacular across all competitors, but given the enormous power of performance and service capacity, this technological leap is taking on a new meaning,” says Mr. Fu.

The consistent standardization of mature core technologies opens up new possibilities for Haitian International to combine within the various systems. “We call this the “new” modularity and in many respects we mean the abandonment of familiar structures. Apart from that, the R&D teams had to think modularly from the start, but for entire assemblies. This way of thinking allows us today to think of any combinations. Each clamping unit and each injection unit can be combined with any component – whether electric or hydraulic drive system, toggle system or two-platen solution, single or multi-color injection. The new Zhafir Jenius Series is the first result: electric injection unit and a two-platen clamping unit. The JE Series combines mature and proven core technologies from the electric and hydraulic world. Further hybrids will follow.
