From April 20 to 26, Haitian will host a new Open Week format connecting Ningbo, Shanghai and Suzhou under the theme “Level Up! Your Advantage.” For the first time, the program brings together three key touchpoints in one coordinated event: Haitian’s headquarters and manufacturing base in Ningbo, the Haitian booth at Chinaplas 2026 in Shanghai, and the Haitian Medical Application Technology Center in Suzhou.

By combining manufacturing, exhibition and application expertise, Haitian offers customers a broader view of how equipment, digital technologies and cross-divisional synergies work together in practice. The three-city format is designed to show how Haitian creates value not only through machines, but through integrated solutions built around productivity, quality and application know-how.

Ningbo: Manufacturing strength and application capability

In Ningbo, visitors will experience Haitian’s manufacturing strength at the source. The Open Week will provide large-scale access to the new Haitian Machinery Smart Factory, the newly operational Haitian Machinery Global Application Experience Center and additional core manufacturing areas. With a total production footprint of around one million square meters, the the tour in Ningbo plants highlights Haitian’s strengths in large-scale production, intelligent manufacturing, application development and industrial collaboration.

A major highlight in Ningbo will be the official opening of the Haitian Machinery Global Application Experience Center. Created as a platform for the global market, it is designed to support technical exchange and application-focused solution development across industries, processes and production scenarios. During the event, Haitian will also present more than 60 application scenarios, covering advanced molding technologies, AI-enabled and intelligent technologies, and industrial talent development.

Shanghai: From Machines to Systems at Chinaplas 2026

In parallel, Haitian’s presentation at Chinaplas in Shanghai focuses on market-oriented solutions and industry-specific applications. Across an exhibition space of 800 square meters, the group integrates its core divisions, including injection molding machines, drive systems and smart automation solutions. The focus is on industries such as home appliance, automotive and consumer goods, where tailored processing solutions are required. A key highlight will be the world premiere of the MA2500V/1000 Ultra, further expanding Haitian’s fifth-generation platform. Together with drive systems, automation and digital technologies, the exhibit will underline Haitian’s continued development from machine supplier to provider of integrated production solutions.

Suzhou: Dedicated expertise for medical manufacturing

In Suzhou, the focus will shift to one of the industry’s most demanding sectors: medical manufacturing. At the Haitian Medical Application Technology Center, visitors will see more than 10 customized precision clean molding technologies developed specifically for medical applications. The center demonstrates Haitian’s capabilities in medical application development, process validation and specialized molding solutions for customers with high requirements in cleanliness, stability, precision and consistency.

One connected view of Haitian’s capabilities

Together, the three locations create a connected picture of Haitian’s capabilities across the full value chain. Ningbo represents manufacturing depth and application infrastructure. Shanghai highlights innovation, market relevance and cross-divisional synergy. Suzhou shows how Haitian is building expertise in specialized industries through dedicated application development.

Throughout the week, Haitian will also host industry forums and networking activities to encourage dialogue on customer needs, technology trends and future manufacturing requirements. From factory visits to technical exchange, the event is designed to create a practical and comprehensive experience for customers and partners.

300 Zhafir Machines Build Precision Manufacturing with Certainty

Founded in Hong Kong in 1988, Hongrita Holdings Ltd. (Hongrita) has grown into a global precision manufacturing group. Recently, we had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Felix Choi, CEO of Hongrita, to hear firsthand how this manufacturing leader approaches choice, evolution, and the future.

At Hongrita’s Zhongshan plant, more than 300 Zhafir all-electric injection molding machines operate reliably day and night. Hongrita sets uncompromising standards: micron-level precision must remain consistent over time and across tens of millions of cycles.

In 2016, when the first second-generation Zhafir all-electric injection molding machine was introduced, the challenge was clear—not just to produce qualified parts, but to keep deviations within micron-level limits over millions of cycles. Zhafir met that challenge. Since then, Hongrita’s production lines have evolved in step with Zhafir’s technology, advancing together to the latest fifth-generation platform.

Today, all Zhafir machines at Hongrita continue to operate stably under high-load conditions, with machine stability underpinning consistently high production yield. This philosophy of iteration rather than replacement has formed the “growth rings” of Hongrita’s production lines, and stands as the first foundation supporting its global customer base.

In recent years, the partnership has reached a new milestone with the joint exploration of CUBE mold technology. “We’ve already received our first customer order,” Mr. Choi noted. From second-generation machines to breakthroughs in cube molding, the relationship has evolved from equipment supply into a collaborative R&D partnership, responding to new market demands and bringing advanced mold concepts into mass production.

Connecting machines into a production line is only the beginning. Hongrita began its digital and intelligent transformation early, guided by a clear goal: replace experience-based judgment with data-driven certainty.

“We need more accurate data for analysis, which is why we fully adopted all-electric machines,” said Mr. Choi. In an environment of intense competition on cost and efficiency, optimization must be rooted in real production data. The comprehensive adoption of Zhafir all-electric machines became the cornerstone. With advantages in energy efficiency and precision control, combined with open data interfaces, Zhafir enables every machine’s operating status, process parameters, and energy consumption to become transparent and traceable. As a result, machines are no longer just producing parts, but also producing insight.

This data-driven approach has also turned green intelligent manufacturing from a concept into action. With real-time data, Hongrita has carried out systematic energy-saving upgrades across water, electricity, gas, and HVAC systems, achieving both economic and environmental gains. Today, Hongrita has earned authoritative Industry 4.0 Maturity Level 2i certification, with Zhafir playing a critical role behind the scenes.

Haitian JU Series Two-Platen Machine Enables One-Step Molding — A Dual Leap in Sustainability and Efficiency

Focusing on the automotive industry’s demand for greener production and process simplification, the Haitian JU6500V-2250 showcased an innovative one-step molding solution for exterior parts. By combining recycled materials with pre-decorated, paint-free film inserts, it opens a new path toward achieving both sustainability and efficiency in automotive exterior manufacturing.

In the live demonstration, the Haitian JU6500V-2250 used recycled polypropylene material and applied paint-free one-step molding technology to produce a 450 g automotive fender component within a 70-second cycle — showcasing a truly green and efficient production process.

In this demonstration, the preformed decorative film was placed directly into the mold and integrally molded with the recycled material during injection — eliminating traditional steps such as transfer, painting, and trimming. The molded parts came out with a high-quality decorative surface that met assembly standards right away — “ready to use out of the mold.” This simplified the production process, significantly improved efficiency, and reduced material waste and cycle time, all while ensuring premium surface quality.

The entire process, from film loading to part removal, was fully automated with Haitian Smart Solutions’ turnkey automation system. It was also equipped with the Go Factory system for real-time production monitoring and management. Meanwhile, the integrated HT·XTEND Inject function continuously optimized the molding process, ensuring stable product quality even when using recycled materials. On October 8, the world’s leading plastics exhibition — K 2025 International Plastics and Rubber Trade Fair — kicked off in Düsseldorf, Germany. Under the theme “Level Up! Your Advantage”, Haitian International made a grand appearance at Hall 15, Booth A57, showcasing its comprehensive “Injection Molding +” solutions. On the opening day, the Haitian International booth welcomed a continuous stream of professional visitors and technical experts, engaging in lively face-to-face discussions with Haitian’s team on process details. Go-Pak Viet Nam Co, Ltd. in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam was established in 2018, specializing in the holistic marketing of disposable food containers. Product development and design, production on over 15,000 sqm, distribution and sales. We talked to Mr. Yang Mingqing, the production manager at Go-Pak

Now that the epidemic seems to be under control, the global demand for production capacity in the plastics processing industry is increasing. Go-Pak has its own unique development strategy and corporate culture to maintain the existing market, expand industry presence and actively participate in the development of foreign markets.

Yang Mingqing proudly tells us, “Our compatriots often praise the manufacturing industry in the US and Japan. But in fact, here in Vietnam we have Go-Pak, a company that manufactures standard household products for the food industry and exports them to the EU market. Our machines are running at full speed and our hygiene standards are very high.”

Interview with Arnaud Joubert, CEO of Sorel Plastique

For more than 30 years, SOREL Plastics has been developing and manufacturing a wide range of plastic containers for the food industry.

As a partner of renowned food and confectionery manufacturers in France and Europe, the company offers more than 200 standard models in its range and in addition offers the production of exclusive forms. In autumn 2018, production capacity was tripled all at once – with electrical solutions from Zhafir.

We talked to Arnaud Joubert, CEO of Sorel Plastique, about the drive technology of the future, the limitations of the circular economy and why the Zeres series was selected.

Mr. Joubert, so far you have only had hydraulic machines in production, but then last year you ordered several electric machines from Zhafir. Which type of drive is it that you prefer: hydraulic, electric or, last but not least, hybrid solutions?

Joubert: “As soon as the tool does not need hydraulics, e.g. for cores, so no oil, there are only the electrical concepts for us. Although hybrid solutions are a good compromise, they are becoming less and less important for us.”

How important are topics like Industry 4.0 or Intelligent Factories for your company?

“Digitalization cannot be stopped, and I think it is the future. Although our customers do not yet expect us to take any actions in this area, in the next step we will integrate all peripherals and embed our machines in an MES environment. Therefore machine connectivity is a must. Zhafir’s open concept gives us a lot of flexibility when choosing an MES system. We find this very progressive and customer-friendly.”

Are you part of the circular economy?

“The subject of recycling management is not an urgent one for our products, as most of them are reusable items. We strive to use a stable high proportion of recycled materials, although not in the food sector. Strict food regulations limit our use in this area.”

Do you also produce with recycled material?

“We are only allowed to use a maximum of 15 percent recycled material. Since we hardly have any rejects, we cannot even cover the 15 percent with our own waste. And unfortunately, purchased recycled material is still more expensive than original material. The incentive to use recycled materials is still very low. This needs to change. The Packaging Association tried to include the recycling industry in the regulations and to extend the 15 percent regulation. So far however without result.

How are you organized in production?

“We operate 20 injection moulding machines, five days a week, around the clock. We mainly manufacture reusable packaging parts for the food industry, with cycles of around 4 seconds. Each application is carried out with IML technology and is picked by robots. We only process PP that meets the requirements of the food industry and thus consume approx. 1,200 tons per year.”

What were the reasons for choosing the Zeres of Zhafir?

“In 2018 we made the decision to significantly expand our potential in order to be sustainably competitive. Zhafir made it easy for us. The low acquisition costs, consultation and service in France, electrical injection and the related process stability, as well as the energy savings on a large scale … If you upgrade from seven to 20 machines in a single step, each of these arguments speaks for itself.”

„Significant energy savings with the Zeres“

Interview at Spritzgussa Plastics GmbH & Co. KG

Spritzgussa Plastics GmbH & Co. KG is one of the most experienced manufacturers of packaging for food, non-food, cosmetics and consumer goods. Sustainability aspects such as resource conservation or recycling play a special role here. At the end of 2018, the first Zhafir Zeres series came on board, the second followed in May 2019. Both times the delivery, installation and system start took place extremely fast and flawless. Time for a first evaluation.

We talked to Joachim Stelzer, Head of Sales and QA, and Jochen Bartl, Managing Director and Head of Production, about internal adjustments towards a more environmentally friendly production method and the advantages of the electric Zeres Series.

Mr. Stelzer, everyone is talking about sustainability. How does Spritzgussa feel about this?

“We see sustainability as one of our main topics for the coming years. But: Blind actionism does not help much. The industry must provide serious answers. Not only in food packaging, but also for consumer goods. But especially in food packaging, due to food contact, we are very limited because of strict regulations.”

What potential do you see for biobased plastics?

“Bio-based plastics are not a long-term solution. It also decomposes into small particles, which are still plastics, only smaller. It is also not compostable in the usual sense.

Where do you think the plastics industry can start?

“First of all in the general attitude. For us, the preservation of our environment is a matter of the heart. We continuously try to optimize the energy consumption per ton of plastic granulate and the CO2 emissions. Waste products that we produce are returned to the recycling cycle. A PET bottle does not find its way into the sea by itself. Here, everyone who picks up a bottle has to take responsibility and act accordingly.”

Where do you see internal adjustments for more sustainability?

“There are many. Energy consumption is a big issue for us, also a purchasing criteria. Then last year, for example, we integrated a heat recovery system. Energy is becoming more and more expensive and therefore more important. We produce large quantities with fast cycles, so the process and energy consumption must be optimally coordinated so that the profit margin can be achieved. That is why we are switching to electrical machines. Until now, we only had hydraulic premium brands, now we have switched to Zhafir.”

“Zhafir machines are compact and uncomplicated, I like that. Retrofitting simple functions is absolutely easy and affordable at Zhafir – worlds away from the norm.”

What was the decisive factor?

“The efficiency is significantly higher. In addition, there is easier maintenance due to fewer moving parts, longer maintenance intervals, so that maintenance costs stay manageable. Cleanness is also a major issue, especially in our production for food packaging. Oil always carries the risk of leakage, but our production must remain clean.”

What advantages do you see in performance?

“The machines are obviously quieter, precise in their movements and, as I said, efficient and economical. In a mold test with hydraulic machines, we measured energy savings of up to 65%. We have become real fans and in the next few years we will replace our entire portfolio with electric machines from Zhafir. Because the Zhafir machine is also unbeatable in price”.

How do you rate Zhafir’s service and support?

“Our demand on Zhafir is clearly defined: carefree production. The two machines run 52 weeks in a row. They must meet all requirements and deliver the best possible quality at the lowest possible maintenance costs. Both Zeres machines have done this so far. But of course service and support are important. We feel very comfortable with Hewaco. It is a very cooperative relationship. If we have any questions, they come immediately. Apart from that, we do a lot ourselves and also have mechanics in-house. The flexible spare parts policy of Haitian International Germany is very helpful in this case. In this area, Zhafir is pursuing a different, unique strategy in Germany.”

Significant advantages in energy consumption:

A comparison of the Zhafir Zeres Series with a hydraulic high-speed machine from Europe in the same tonnage. The lid (picture above) is produced. All machines run with a cycle of 7.5 seconds, according to Mr. Stelzer a normal cycle time for this product.

Result: Up to 65 % energy savings with Zeres.
