For over two decades, Grupo Fabinject—a national benchmark in the manufacturing of auto parts, home appliances, and designer furniture—has been on a path of growth and innovation supported by Haitian’s technology and expertise. Headquartered in a 24,000 m² industrial plant in Brazil, the company is now a true example of productive efficiency and strategic vision.

Currently, Fabinject operates with 75 injection molding machines, 68% of which are Haitian, reflecting the high level of trust and satisfaction with both the performance of the equipment and the technical support provided over the years. “We chose Haitian based on three key pillars: customer service, competitive pricing, and advanced technology,” says Mr. Marcello Duran Cominato, the group’s founder and CEO.

With annual revenue of R$184 million and a team of 520 employees, Fabinject operates under a three-shift system (24 hours a day), enabling a continuous and highly automated production cycle. The company processes 8,000 tons of polymers per year, including PP, PE, PS, ABS, and PC, which are transformed into products for its brands: PRAXIS Home Appliances, IM IN Furniture Design, and various solutions for the automotive sector.

On August 15, Haitian Plastics Machinery Group and Changzhou Xingyu Automotive Lighting Systems Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Xingyu Automotive Lighting”) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement at Haitian’s headquarters. The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of automotive lighting, working together to drive technological upgrades and optimization in the automotive components industry.

After their arrival, the visiting guests toured the Haitian Education Industrial Park and the Haitian Group Digital Exhibition Hall, gaining a comprehensive understanding of Haitian’s technological expertise and industrial layout in the field of high-end equipment manufacturing.

During the signing ceremony, witnessed by the senior executives of both parties, Mr. Zhang Jianfeng, President of Haitian Plastics Machinery Group, and Ms. Zhou Xiaoping, Chairwoman of Xingyu Automotive Lighting, officially signed the strategic cooperation agreement, marking the beginning of a new chapter of in-depth collaboration between the two industry leaders.

As Zhafir machines became a mainstay in the workshop, The pace of troubleshooting slowed, while yield rates climbed steadily toward predictable, consistent quality.

In 2016, Huafeng set its sights on liquid silicone rubber. This material places extreme demands on mold accuracy, thermal balance, flow channel design, and, most importantly, injection precision. To meet these demands, Huafeng brought in world-class machining equipment. Zhafir responded by steadily enhancing screw control and injection accuracy. It was the first time that equipment, molds, and processes aligned so precisely. Together, We tackled the LSR challenge head-on.

As new machines arrived — from Gen 3 to Gen 5 —Zhafir’s hardware remained reliable, while its software evolved has taken a leap forward in intelligence. Equipped with the latest HT·XTEND ecosystem, it integrate a wide range of intelligent technologies, from clamping force control to smart injection and energy management.“Zhafir’s technology keeps progressing, which supports our long-term partnership and provides us with the best technical foundation,” said Huafeng. For both companies, “progress” isn’t a label, but a daily action.

Currently, 80% of Huafeng’s products are exported. Faced with rising trade complexities, the strategy remains simple: enhance product competitiveness. “Quality is manufactured, not inspected,” says Chairman Shi. “We chose Zhafir only for this reason.” The stable molding performance of Zhafir’s all-electric machines has become a key factor in reducing internal costs and minimizing quality issues. As a result, the workload for QA and process staff has decreased — Efficiency has increased, and product competitiveness has risen.

When occasional molding challenges arise, Huafeng simply describes the issue, and Zhafir engineers update system controls accordingly. They deliver practical solutions with speed and sincerity. These hands-on responses have deepened the trust and connection between the two teams.

Over the past ten years, Huafeng has continued to follow up on every technological iteration of Zhafir, believing that “equipment can change an entire industry.” “Zhafir never stops iterating”, and that’s why Huafeng see them as a long-term strategic partner.

The two companies’ footprints share the same timeline. Chairman Shi still stands by Huafeng’s original vision: “To serve the mid-to-high-end market and become a leading brand in northern China.” That goal is a slow process, but one they’ve committed to. There is finish line to this journey, only the next milestone ahead. Huafeng’s pursuit of quality and Zhafir’s push for continuous innovation remain on the same path, moving forward together.

Onward Manufacturing, a maker of gas and charcoal barbecue grills, acquired the custom molding shop making their plastic components in 1996, largely to support their own needs. In 2016, the family-owned company saw the opportunity to grow and put two family members, Andrew Sellner and Jamie Sellner, in charge of growing the custom molding side of the company.

Onward Plastics is now a fast-growing force in the Kitchener, Ontario plastics community with two operating molding facilities and 44 presses from 39 to 1750T. The company molds non-automotive highly engineered products as well as consumer products primarily made from recycled materials.

The company began replacing older machines with a new fleet of Haitian molding machines in 2019 to accommodate their growth. Onward Plastics initially purchased a two-platen JU9000 III (1,012 U.S. tons) and a servo-hydraulic MA3200 IIS (360 U.S. tons). Recently, they took delivery of its tenth Haitian, a JU1400 V (1,574 U.S. tons) equipped with extended clamp stroke, magnetic platens, tie bar puller and electric screw drive.

The energy efficiency of the JU V’s electric screw drive with parallel processing enabled Andrew Sellner, Vice President of Operations, to apply for an energy rebate from Save on Energy, the Independent ElectricitySystem Operator (IESO) supported by the Government of Ontario.

Onward Plastics processes everything from highly engineered nylons and polycarbonates to both post-consumer and post-industrial recycled materials. “We need our presses to handle everything we can throw at them, ”Andrew said. Many of our machines run recycled polypropylene and we have designed a custom screw and non-return valve specification to reduce wear and better homogenize the melt. These screws are built in North America and supplied by Absolute Haitian (the official distributor and service provider of Haitian International in the U.S. and Canada).

“The biggest challenge to running recycled material is the inconsistency of the material. The Haitian IMMs we are using are not doing anything special other than being rock solid and consistent.”

Before 2019, Onward Plastics bought used machines but found that pricing for used machine, parts and service was incredibly high. “We were drawn to the fact that Haitian makes the most machines in the world and uses very standard components available from multiple sources (even though we find pricing and availability of components to be best directly from Absolute Haitian),” Andrew noted.

“Working towards a more standardized factory quickly helped our team. In 2016, we had five presses from the 1970s – a testament to the skill of our maintenance team – but that is not sustainable going forward. As we grew our number of presses, we were nearly out of power and the energy efficiency of new presses was important. Each machine is constructed in the same way. When troubleshooting, we often don’t even need to look at the drawings because the machines are so consistent and the Haitian servo-hydraulics are simple to troubleshoot.

“Absolute Haitian views parts and service in a whole different way,” Andrew said. “When we’ve needed it, Absolute Haitian has been able to get us timely on-site service and parts delivery. We’re on a first-name basis with the guys in support and service. Everyone on the Haitian team is always happy to help us out.”

One more thing Andrew appreciates. “The presses continually improve. From Mars IIS to Mars V, you can see the improvements in terms of the quality and finish of the machines. While the Generation 5 controls are different, we’re learning our way through them. The machines have met all our requirements. We continue to throw challenging projects at the machines and are happy with the outcome.”

We recently spoke with Mr. Sun Li, Chairman of CITOTEST, to learn more about their story with Zhafir.

Today, CITOTEST operates over 30 Zhafir electric injection molding machines across its main production lines—running under high loads around the clock.

The first two all-electric injection molding machines successfully addressed CITOTEST’s cleanroom production challenges and improved product yield. This pragmatic mindset has enabled CITOTEST to maintain steady growth, with annual revenue climbing to nearly 500 million RMB. “Our cash flow is healthier than many listed companies,” Chairman Sun remarked. “Competitors are often surprised when they see our financials during benchmarking.” Zhafir’s high cost-performance ratio has played a key role in supporting this strong and sustainable financial trajectory.

Today, CITOTEST operates over 30 Zhafir all-electric injection molding machines across its core medical consumables production lines, maintaining high-load operation on a daily basis.

On June 19, the Haitian High-Speed Machine Application Seminar for the Consumer Goods Industry was successfully held in Surabaya, Indonesia. The event attracted over 70 local companies from the plastics industry, aiming to explore the application prospects of high-speed injection molding technology in the consumer goods sector and discuss pathways for industrial upgrading. The seminar served as a platform to promote the transformation of Indonesia’s injection molding industry toward greater efficiency and intelligent manufacturing.

Haitian Plastics Machinery recently held a signing ceremony with TÜV Rheinland (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. to launch a strategic collaboration focused on dual carbon goals. On May 20, 2025, the fully automated turnkey bumper production project—jointly developed by Leapmotor’s Resin Production Division and Haitian Plastics Machinery—was officially commissioned. As the second fully integrated solution delivered to Leapmotor, this project is centered around Haitian’s self-developed HA41000-28900 ultra-large injection molding machine. The solution integrates full-process automation, marking the successful completion and production launch of Phase I, and establishing an intelligent closed-loop production cycle from raw materials to finished bumpers.

At the commissioning ceremony, Zhang Guangyin, General Manager of Leapmotor’s Resin Production Division, joined Xu Bin, Deputy General Manager of Haitian’s Global Industry Line, Liu Lizhu, Sales Manager of Northern Zhejiang Region, and Hu Haibo, Key Account Service Manager, to jointly launch the production line.

Phase I includes three HA33000-20200 systems and one HA41000-28900 system from Haitian. Each solution is equipped with automation technologies such as mold changing carts, magnetic platens, six-axis robots, gate cutting systems, automatic weighing, jig exchange platforms, laser marking, AGV transport, and automated warehousing. This enables fully intelligent production from material feeding and precise molding to downstream processing.

This partnership represents a powerful synergy between two industry leaders. Haitian’s cutting-edge injection molding and automation solutions have empowered Leapmotor’s bumper production, while Leapmotor’s forward-looking vision and manufacturing demands have created new opportunities for Haitian’s technical innovation. From March 24 to 28, South America’s largest plastics industry event, PLÁSTICO BRASIL 2025, was held at the São Paulo Expo Center in Brazil, attracting nearly 1,000 exhibitors and 45,000 professional visitors from around the world.
